"Mir Vremeni" ("World of Time") Museum

The museum's collection is constantly growing. Currently, it consists of more than ten thousand exhibits. The "Mir Vremeni" museum has several branches. The main branch houses the largest part of the museum's collection. The exhibition items reflect a wide variety of times and countries. The exhibition hall contains a collection of glass exhibits. It features an "Eastern exhibition" – all sorts of glass items from China, Japan, and India. Visitors learn about their history during the "Fragile Miracle" tour. The second branch of the museum presents exhibits related to the pre-revolutionary period and the Soviet era. "Mir Vremeni" also has a rich library. There, one can get acquainted with books, periodicals, calendars, and postcards from different eras. You can read socio-political and literary-artistic magazines from the late 19th to early 20th centuries – "Russkaya Mysl" (Russian Thought), "Solntse Rossii" (Sun of Russia), "Russkie Zapiski" (Russian Notes), and children's magazines "Solnyshko" (Little Sun) and "Rodnik" (The Spring). You can also browse through old herbal guides and learn something new from the Great Soviet Encyclopedia. There is a small shop at the Museum of Time. Customers can find interesting antiques here — coins, stamps, dishes, and equipment. And anyone interested can consign interesting items. They will either go on the shop shelf or into the museum.

General Tour "Kaleidoscope of Time"

This tour takes place in the main branch of the museum. It introduces visitors to the most interesting items from various eras, from a stone scraper to a Soviet television.

"Unusual and Mysterious Objects"

You can take this tour after listening to the general overview of the museum. The guide will tell guests about the collection of measuring instruments, the development of the system of measures, and everything related to the development of the metric system. Visitors can also explore the collection of old photographs and cameras and see the world's first 3D image on a stereograph.

Tours at the "Zelenaya Roshcha" Branch

A visit to the second museum branch begins with an inspection of a pre-revolutionary peasant hut. Here you can see everyday objects common to people of that era – yokes, butter churns, samovars, saddles, carpentry tools, and furniture like chests, cradles, and rugs.

The second section of the branch is the Soviet exhibition. This is the museum's most extensive collection. Busts of leaders and red banners, school uniforms, and Soviet textbooks – these exhibits are sure to evoke nostalgia in adult visitors. For young people, it will be interesting to immerse themselves in our country's very recent past.
